Maxim Announces Plans for Design Center in India
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 6, 2001--Maxim Integrated
Products, Inc. (Nasdaq:MXIM - news) announced today that the Company plans to
establish a design center in India in the next several months. The
design center will be engaged in integrated circuit design for a wide
variety of Maxim's analog, digital, and mixed-signal products.
Carl Jasper, Maxim Vice President and Chief Financial Officer,
commented: "Although we are not at this time releasing specifics as to
the size of the design center or our intended investment, we can say
that the design center could grow to a substantial size over time if
it becomes viable to operate productively in India. It could
significantly contribute to our IC design activities in the future.
